Therefore, you should know which type of Indian saree will suit you best. Here are some tips which you can choose while selecting a sari so that it is praised by everyone.
For Heavier women: A heavier lady always wants herself to look slim and beautiful and thus they are always conscious while choosing apparel for them. For such ladies, we would suggest choosing saree in fabrics like crepe, chiffon or georgette. As this cloth is thin and light weight, it easily drapes around the body and looks graceful
For Thin women: Sarees in organza tissue, cotton or south silk are best for thin or slim ladies as it gives them a fuller look.
For A Shorter Look: Generally tall ladies are not appreciated by people and they look taller in sarees. These ladies should prefer wearing sarees with large prints or heavy borders. This somewhat reduces their height in look.
For A Taller Look: Contrary to the above case, a shorter lady should wear sarees without borders or small borders. Big borders or heavy prints make them look shorter.
For the dark complexioned: if you have a dark complexion then need not to worry. It may sound surprising but dark colors like maroon, green, dark pink are the colors made for you. You would look beautiful in these colors.
For office: You should choose a saree that make you look formal and simple with a tidy look for office wear. Subtle and light colors sarees with simple prints worn with pleated pallu reflects professional sense in your selection.
For functions/parties: For functions and parties, you should prefer heavy and designer sarees with some work or embroidery on them. Shoulder part should be just pinned at one end and let the rest fall. You will notice other ladies whispering about your style and grace.
For weddings: Wedding sarees should be chosen so that you could stand out from the crowd. Generally red, green, maroon and white are the wedding colors. You can also choose from pure silk or kanchipuram silk with heavy designs in gold zari, sequins and thread work.
Great saree accessories: any chosen saree can be best complimented with coordinated accessories like stylish nose rings, high heeled sandals or stilettos, danglers. Do not forget to wear your foot wears before draping your saree as it gives you idea about the correct length.
